The puzzle game Persian Treasures is played as a duel, meaning two players play against one another. However, the players need not play simultaneously.
The playing field is covered by seven different types of precious stones. The positions of adjacent stones can be switched with a click of the mouse. Stones disappear from the playing field when three or more like stones form a row either vertically or horizontally. The gaps left behind are filled by new stones, which can lead to chain reactions being set off.
The game is over as soon as no further moves are possible or all of the stones have been cleared.
